• We moved to Manhattan (with our two young sons) because my wife and I wanted to.
  
• I purchased our previous home at a foreclosure auction without having had the chance to see the inside. Auction rules required that payment in full be made within 10 days after the auction, and we closed the mortgage we needed within that time.
  
• Over the objections of a billionaire neighbor, I'm moving forward with plans to build a lovely spec home on a lot that had sat on the market for years because many regarded it as unbuildable.
  
• I made this Web site. My wife picked the colors.
  
• I have a patent pending on a method for using standard cell phones to obtain useful data on the movement of people... without compromising anyone's privacy.
  
• I'm a big fan of the intelligent use of technology. And, if you work with me, it might make sense for us to use some wickedly cool tools I have at my disposal.
  
• I earned the PhD from the University of Michigan for my study of certain aspects of media and persuasion.
  
• My BA is from Cornell, and 3 other members of my immediate family also attended Cornell.
  
• My Paris-born, MD/PhD wife never went to college.
